$3,500 college scholarship and 75-hour paid summer internship

Recent reviews of the legal system have focused on the lack of access to attorneys as a result of “legal deserts”, largely in rural areas, and on creating pathways to the legal profession for traditionally underrepresented groups spanning ability, gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, military service, and the like.

With the legal field’s focus on expanding the reach of the profession, CCHA’s scholarship will support a student with tuition and real-world experience. Applicants must complete the application and a personal statement identifying their interest in the legal field and the ways their background and experience advance these important interests [in reference to the first paragraph] of the legal profession.
