You are invited to join Women’s Fund of Central Indiana for a special luncheon and moderated conversation with Ariadne Getty, international philanthropist and advocate. You will have the opportunity to connect with other women who have personal relationships to LGBTQ+ youth.

We know for many mothers, while they love their children wholly and completely, they may feel alone as they process the knowledge of their child’s identity, the potential lack of acceptance from other family members, friends and their community—and most importantly—support their child during this journey. In addition to hearing from Ariadne Getty about her commitment to LGBTQ+ youth, those in attendance will also have the opportunity to share about what kinds of supports they think would be helpful to their families. In turn, Women’s Fund will either help make connections to services already available or seek partners in our community to create needed services.

Recognizing that​ everyone is at different place in their individual and family’s journey of understanding and acceptance, we ask for all attendees to be discreet and honor the confidences of the other guests. While many supportive and curious allies have inquired about attending, we have limited the invitation exclusively to mothers of LGBTQ+ children, so you may have honest and open conversations with those on similar paths.
