Senior-Serving Organizations Receiving $746,566 from Central Indiana Senior Fund
Grants support transportation, health, independence and cultural opportunities for seniors. More than 30 senior-serving not-for-profit organizations will receive a total of $746,566 in grants from Central Indiana Senior Fund, a special interest fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). The Indianapolis Foundation Awards $671,493 in Grants
The Indianapolis Foundation, an affiliate of Central Indiana Community Foundation, announced that grants totaling $671,493 will be awarded to 16 organizations or projects in Marion County. The foundation’s board of directors approved the grants in a Nov. 14 board meeting.Read More.
Meet Alena Jones
In 2015, Alena Jones and Nekoma Burcham were named NEXT Fellows by the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, a special interest fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation. Jones and Burcham are co-founders of an initiative, scheduled to launch in 2018, that gives female returning citizens, ages 18-24, the tools they need to be successful and self-sustaining. Women’s Fund of Central Indiana awards $195,000
Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, a special interest fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation, recently announced the allocation of $195,000 to 11 not-for-profit organizations in Central Indiana. The grants were approved at the organization’s Advisory Board meeting in November.Read More.
Three Not-For-Profit Organizations Receive $5,000 at Legacy Fund Event
Three Hamilton County not-for-profits each received a surprise $5,000 grant at tonight’s Celebration of Philanthropy, which was hosted by Legacy Fund, the community foundation serving Hamilton County and a Central Indiana Community Foundation affiliate. Recycled Cycles, Nickel Plate Arts and Eleven Fifty Academy received the surprise grants as part of the inaugural Legacy Fund Community Pillar Award presentation.Read More.
