Introducing two new philanthropic advisors: Marissa Nielsen and Heather Woock
In February, Central Indiana Community Foundation welcomed two new philanthropic advisors: Marissa Nielsen and Heather Woock. In their roles, both Nielsen and Woock will work directly with individuals, families and community organizations to create meaningful charitable giving plans focused on self-identified interests and goals.
Prior to joining CICF, Nielsen was the interim director of the Smithville Charitable Foundation in Ellettsville, Ind. She recently received her master’s degree from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy in philanthropic studies. Before moving to Indiana, Nielsen resided in Michigan and served as the executive director for the Homer Area Community Foundation and worked with the Community Foundation Alliance of Calhoun County.
Woock joins CICF after serving as a corporate editor for Anthem, Inc. She received her bachelor’s degree in English literature from Indiana University and is the current board secretary for Brooke’s Place for Grieving Young People, a not-for-profit serving grieving children and families in Central Indiana.
CICF now has more philanthropic service capacity than ever before with a full team solely dedicated to assisting donors with their philanthropic mission. The two join a full CICF staff of over 40 individuals.
