Erin Tanner, CFO
INDIANAPOLIS – Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) announced that Erin Tanner has been named the chief financial officer for the organization. She will lead the direction and central planning necessary for the successful financial management of the philanthropic collaborative.
“Erin brings nearly 20 years of non-profit leadership to the role. Her extensive background in this sector is marked by a unique blend of qualities that set her apart,” said Jennifer Bartenbach, CEO of CICF. “Beyond her financial expertise and impressive track record, Erin brings a profound commitment to advancing racial equity initiatives. Her dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion aligns perfectly with our organization’s values and vision. We are confident that Erin’s passion for creating a more equitable workplace will drive positive change and enhance our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all.”
Tanner excels at communicating complex financial data and driving operational excellence. In her most recent role, she served as CFO of a non-profit organization that provides therapy and services to youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in 27 counties across Indiana. Before her current role, she led the finance team at an international medical society, an entity dedicated to social justice, an organization serving people with cancer and their families, and more. Erin is a collaborator interested in connecting, learning, and seeking ways to build a sense of belonging in our community. She is also passionate about creating a more inclusive society and brings a deep commitment to advancing racial equity initiatives.
Outside work, she serves as the Vice-President and Secretary of Christ Church Cathedral Foundation, Treasurer of Peace Learning Center, and Vice-President of Family Promise of Hendricks County. Erin is currently pursuing her MBA at Butler University. She enjoys traveling to new and familiar places, reading everything from non-fiction to legal thrillers, trying new restaurants, and listening to live music. She and her husband of 15 years are certified scuba divers, and they enjoy diving together on vacation whenever possible. Erin is an avid dog lover and looks forward to adopting a new member of the family soon.
