Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) announced the promotions of Robin Elmerick to the director of effective philanthropy and Ben Snyder to the director of marketing and communications. Both positions are effective immediately.
As director of effective philanthropy, Robin Elmerick will lead donor engagement and not-for-profit sustainability for the organization.
“Whether in the for-profit or non-profit sector, Robin’s career path has always been influenced by a desire to improve the community around her, and a drive to influence others to do the same,” said Tamara Winfrey-Harris, vice president of community leadership and effective philanthropy. “During her time in several for-profit organizations, she continually found herself looking for ways that she could encourage not only her colleagues but also influence her employers to give back and invest in the community.”
Robin joined CICF last year as the organization’s first not-for-profit sustainability officer. Her responsibilities included building and managing the relationships of not-for-profit fund holders and identifying opportunities to expand philanthropic relationships with not-for-profit organizations in the community. Prior to joining CICF, Robin worked at Starfish Initiative in development and also served as the interim president and CEO and vice president for marketing and development. She also served as a not-for-profit consultant with Social Legends, supporting clients in Central Indiana in areas such as strategic planning and board development.
“Whenever there is an opportunity to lift up and recognize the work and talent of our existing staff, we will seize that opportunity and promote from within the organization.”
Ben Snyder joined CICF in 2015 as the online communications coordinator. Since then, he has moved up to the role of manager of marketing and communications and now to the director of marketing and communications where he will lead the foundation’s internal and external communications strategy. Prior to joining the foundation, he worked in marketing for the Indiana Repertory Theatre and the Phoenix Theatre.
“Ben brings a strong skill of project management, design, strategic thinking, a deep passion for our work and the institutional knowledge to lead the marketing and communication efforts here at CICF”, says Jennifer Bartenbach, executive vice president and CFO. “Whenever there is an opportunity to lift up and recognize the work and talent of our existing staff, we will seize that opportunity and promote from within the organization. I am thrilled that we were able to do that with both Robin and Ben.”
