2021 BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNOUNCED FOR CENTRAL INDIANA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, HAMILTON COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, THE INDIANAPOLIS FOUNDATION AND FUNDS

Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) elected new directors and leadership for its board of directors and the boards of its affiliates, The Indianapolis Foundation and Hamilton County Community Foundation, as well as the advisory board for Women’s Fund of Central Indiana and the board of directors for the William English Foundation Inc., both funds of CICF.  All changes are effective immediately.  

CICF

The CICF board of directors will now be led by chair, Marisol Sanchez, vice president of legal affairs and general counsel at Endress+Hauser, Inc; vice chair, Mike Simmons, managing director of Jupiter Peak LLC; treasurer, Kathy Davis, systems advisor to Mayor Joe Hogsett; and secretary, Darianne Christian, community leader. 

The following directors have been renewed for an additional three-year term:David Becker, president and CEO of First Internet bank; Una Osili, professor of economics and philanthropic and associate dean for research and international programs at Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy; and Charlie Sutphinmanager of Netherleigh Enterprises, LLC. AdditionallyJ.A. THE INDIANAPOLIS FOUNDATION

The Indianapolis Foundation board of directors elected new leadership for 2021: chair, Cindy Simon Skjodt, community leadervice chair,  Greg Hahn,  partner at Bose McKinney Evans, LLP; secretary, John David Hoover, of Hoover Hull Turner LLP. Kameelah Shaheed-Diallo, operating partner at The City Fund, was appointed to the board of directors for a six-year term. Additionally, Kathy Davissystems advisor to Mayor Joe Hogsett, was appointed to complete a six-year term. Special thanks to Milt Thompson who concluded his time on The Indianapolis Foundation board, after serving as chair for five terms and giving 27 years of service. HAMILTON COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

HamiltonCounty Community Foundation will continue to be led by chair,Jay Merrell, executive vice president of IDI Composites International; vice chair,Lisa Allen, not-for-profit consultant; secretary, Eddie Rivers, chief development officer at Kids’ Voice of Indiana; treasurer,Gina Giacone, partner at Ice Miller, LLP; and past chair, Ann O’Hara, Law Offices of Ann M. O’Hara, P.C.The foundation welcomesfour new board of directors who will each serve a three-year term:David Norris,president of Hylant Group Inc.;Dana Pittard, vice president, Defense Programs, at Allison Transmission;andNicole Lorch, executive vice president and chief operating officer at First Internet Bank of Indiana. The foundation is also proud to announce the return of Corby Thompson, owner at Boomerang Development, LLC, to its board of directors. 

The following individuals have rolled off their term on the board:Steve Holt,partner at Holt Legal Group;Craig Crosser, co-owner of Nova 29 Property Management LLC; Barney Quinn,retired from Simon Property Group; and Darren Peterson, owner of Peterson Architecture.View the full list of the current Hamilton County Community Foundation board of directors. 

WOMEN’S FUND OF CENTRAL INDIANA

The advisory board for Women’s Fund of Central Indiana will be led by elected chair, Jennifer Dzwonar, partner, crisis and community relations at Borshoff, and vice chair, Tavonna Harris Askew, chief of staff and general counsel at Health Corporation of Marion County. The fund welcomes five new members of the advisory board who will each serve a 3-year term: Brandi Davis-Handy, chief public relations officer at AES Corporation; Jasmin French, senior manager ethics and compliance at Cummins Inc.; Jasmine Graham, Ph.D., assistant professor at Indiana University – IUPUI; Milton O. Thompson, attorney at Bleeke Dillon Crandall attorneys; Rick White, chief commercial officer at Justrite Safety Group. Additionally, Lacy Wooden, HR generalist at Citizens Energy Group is joining the advisory board for one year as a representative of the previous year’s OPTIONS Class, a year-long program of philanthropy education for community leaders. 

Three individuals were elected for a second term. These individuals include: Jill Lacy, president of the Lacy Foundation; Nancy Martin, senior vice president & managing director at Fifth Third Private Bank; Jennifer Morris, community volunteer.

THE WILLIAM E. ENGLISH FOUNDATION INC.

The William E. English Foundation owns and oversees operations of the English Foundation Building, the low-cost home to 12 not-for-profit organizations, including CICF. Board leadership for 2021 remains the same: president, Milt Thompson; vice-president, Cindy Simon Skjodt; and secretary-treasurer, Bill Shrewsberry, of Shrewsberry and Associates.  

Kathy Davis was reappointed and will serve an additional five-year term. Kameelah Shaheed-Diallo was appointed to the board and will serve a 6-year term. Bob Grand, partner at Barnes & Thornburg retired from the board after 26 years of service.
