Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) has announced new board members and board leadership for its board, as well as the boards of its affiliates, The Indianapolis Foundation and Legacy Fund. The William E. English Foundation Inc., an affiliate of The Indianapolis Foundation, also announced board transitions. These changes take effect immediately.
CICF
The Central Indiana Community Foundation will be led by board chair, Greg Hahn, partner at Bose McKinney Evans LLP; vice chair, Aasif Bade, president of Ambrose Property Group; treasurer, Kathy Davis, systems advisor to Mayor Joe Hogsett; and secretary, Mike Simmons, retired CEO of T2 Systems.
John David Hoover, founding partner of Hoover Hull Turner LLP, will begin his first term as a director for the CICF board.
Brenda Horn, former deputy managing partner of Ice Miller LLP, will join the CICF board as an ex-officio director representing Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, a special interest fund of CICF.
Corby Thompson, owner and founder of Boomerang Development LLC, will represent Legacy Fund as its former chair.
Charlie Sutphin, manager at Netherleigh Enterprises LLC and former CICF president, returns to the board for a 3-year term.
Aasif Bade; Jean Blackwell, retired from Cummins Inc.; and J.A. Lacy, president and CEO for LDI Ltd. have each been renewed for a second 3-year term on the CICF board of directors.
THE INDIANAPOLIS FOUNDATION
The Indianapolis Foundation will be led by board chair, Jerry Semler, chairman emeritus at One America; vice chair, Kathy Davis; and secretary, Milt Thompson, attorney and of counsel for Bleeke Dillion Crandall Attorneys.
John David Hoover was appointed to The Indianapolis Foundation board of directors for a 6-year term by Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson, chief judge of the Southern Indiana U.S. District Court. Hoover replaces Alan Levin, of counsel for Barnes and Thornburg. Levin served on The Indianapolis Foundation board for 12 years.
LEGACY FUND
Legacy Fund will be led by board chair, Ann O’Hara, of counsel for Ice Miller LLC; vice chair, Jay Merrell, executive vice president for Industrial Dielectrics; secretary and treasurer, Brian Myers, general manager at Foamcraft Inc.
Danielle Stiles-Polk, executive director of development for Ivy Tech Community College and Eric Douthit, partner at Church Church Hittle & Antrim will begin 3-year terms this year.
WILLIAM E. ENGLISH FOUNDATION INC.
The William E. English Foundation board of directors will only have one change for 2018. The board oversees operations of the English Foundation Building, the low-cost home to several not-for-profit organizations, including CICF.
The board will be led by president, Bill Moreau, partner at Barnes & Thornburg LLP; vice president, Milt Thompson; and secretary/treasurer, Cindy Simon Skjodt, community volunteer. John David Hoover will join the English Foundation board of directors for his first term.
